damnitiscold!

Apparently, winter has found it’s way back onto the scene. From what I’m able to tell, somewhere in the neighbourhood of five inches of the sticky white crap was dumped on West Michigan in the past 24 hours. I guess I was getting far too used to the 40+ degree weather and dry pavement. I’m reminded of my distaste for “the winter wonderland” that is Michigan in January. Here’s for wishing it was summer again!

Matt was up last night in the hopes that we might have been able to meet up with Dan Kesterke while he was in town. I guess something happened because we never heard from him. It really wasn’t a problem… Matt and I got some dinner and some coffee and had some great conversation. I think it was a really great thing for both of us. We watched some Boondocks episodes and played some music. We started planning the new project. So far, band names include “Harry Haller” and “Zamzalaroo”. I just sent Matt the suggestion of “Left Pop News” as a possibility… of course “Pop Left News” is kinda interesting too. I guess we’ll just see how it goes.

winter maladies

I seem to have contracted the winter-sick from the child. At this point in time, my right nostril is completely plugged and I’m just generally feeling wore down. I spent most of last night with one arm out from under the warm covers, dangling in the cold, so when I woke I had a wonderfully putrid chill. The shower was tepid this morning. No relief found there.

Now I’m sitting, getting prepared for another fun filled day at work. There is one thing to be said on that subject, however. At least I now work for a company where my input is not only welcomed, but actually sought after. I’m really pleased with how things are working out thus far. In another few months, I might actually be able to say I’m happy at my job. Maybe. ;)

We haven’t been doing much since Thursday… mostly laying low, spending time with the Clarester and trying not to get into too much trouble. Char’s playing WoW now, which I think is hilarious, but can’t laugh too much seeing as I’m quite addicted myself. :)

Take it easy ya’ll.

Hola David.

First we hit Rafav’s, a little Mexican joint in Eastown for some grub. The food was EXCELLENT. Highly recommended for all you fellow vegetarians who love Mexican food. Then it was off to Kava House for a double espresso and a triple mocha. It was then a night of wonderful alcoholic bliss at Billy’s. We spent the evening with the boys from Hello Dave once again, met up with some other long-time fans, and generally whooped it up. 7am came MUCH MUCH too early for this worker bee. But I did make it to work… with the help of some Advils, B Vitamins, and Red Bull. I ate some greasy spoon breakfast food at this townie place down the street for lunch and as of about 1pm, all is well.

It was a good night followed by an alright day (read minimal hangover). I have to go home now and catch up on some sleep. I’m sure Char will post something over on myspace if you’re interested. Keep an ear open.

peace.
