Well….really I’ve got many friends (plural). My sweet pal Big Binder though gave me the “Friend in You” Award the other day, and I am very touched. Big Binder and I go back a few years in real life. She was my first recruit as the membership person of our MOMS Club chapter. I still remember the first of many great play dates we’ve had - hanging out at the zoo that sunny summer afternoon with our little ones running around the petting area harassing all the animals & splashing in the animal drinking fountain. Who knew years later we’d still be hanging out both in real life and in the blogosphere. Thank you so much Big Binder.
In the spirit of friendship I would love to pass this onto the many friends I have. However I can only pick a few, and since most of my friends don’t blog; it should make it pretty easy to pick a few friends that haven’t already gotten this award to bestow upon them. Thanks for being such good friends in college: Ang’s Rants & Raves, and The Artistic Pursuit of Life on Earth . Both were roommates of mine (during different times of course), and they were the best roomies one could ask for during those fun times at WMU. GO BRONCO’S!

So, my pal Big Binder has nominated me for the Nice Matters Award. I am really flattered and honored to recieve such an award! The question now comes….to whom do I pass the award onto, as I need to pick only 2 of my many nice friends out of both real life & the blog world. I have tons of nice friends out there, and just because I didn’t nominate you doesn’t mean you’re not loved by me…..because you are!
I would like to nominate The Artistic Pursuit of Life on Earth as my first choice. He is a dear friend, the friend that actually introduced me to my darling cynical husband. I’ve been friends with him in real life for 13 years now, and he’s a pretty nice guy. We were even roommates in college for a year and a half. I also want to nominate him for his recent rediscovery of finding himself in his art once again. I can only hope that one day I’ll rediscover what I want to do with my life (besides being a mom). Check out his art work, it’s for sale, and it’s pretty cool!
My second nomination goes to Why Mommy at Toddler Planet. I do not know Why Mommy personally, but I’ve been following her difficult path in life for about a month and a half now. She is a very brave woman going through Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I have posted her previous post before, but I would like to do it again as it is important to get the word out about Inflammatory Breast Cancer. This wonderful woman was a Scientist before becoming a mom to 2 great kids. She strives to balance her life as a mom while dealing with the daily rigamorals of chemo & cancer, and trying to find herself in the science world.
