Potter is finally finished!

Harry Potter Book 7

So, I finally finished the book tonight.  I know……I know……I’ve had it for almost 2 weeks.  Well, things last week slowed me down in preparation for my brother’s wedding, and then to top it off I forgot the book last weekend when we went to the wedding.  Then this week we’ve been catching up on things like house work, laundry, & getting back into things a bit so I didn’t get to sit down for a good period of time until today.  I spent most of my afternoon at Beaners sipping on their new Peanut Butter Cup Big Chill, and munching on some yogurt parfait.  Tonight I was able to sit down uninterupted for the most part and finish it.  For those of you that may not have finished it or are not into it feel free to stop reading here.  I enjoyed the book up until the end.  The plot had tons of twists….most predictable, or maybe I’m just smart and figured it out ahead of time.  The only one I can’t quite sort out in my head is how the Elder wand was really Draco’s…..before Harry got it because he had taken Draco’s wand.  The epilouge really wasn’t all that great of an ending, other than to show that Harry marries Ginny…..and as figured Ron marries Heromine.  I really think she could have left that out…..it was SUPER cheesy; especially how they named all their kids after people that had died and what not.  I REALLY could have done without reading it, and it took away from the story that had ended the page before it.  I’m kinda sad Harry Potter is done, but in the end she left him in a good place…..no huge wondering what will happen next in his life (yes even if she had left the Epilouge out it still would have been a good place).  Now, it’s back to reading my other summer reads, more on them another night.

Tackle it Tuesday

Current Mood:Cool emoticon Cool

Over at 5 Minutes for Mom they blog every Tuesday about something in their household they want to tackle and get done to take back their household from all the clutter that can occur with children, and family life in general. So, today I have 2 things I want to tackle before allowing myslelf to dive back into the world of Harry Potter. Drum roll please………I am going to clean the kitchen up and get all the dishes back in their homes rather than a pile on the counter, and I am going to do several loads of laundry in preparation for this weekends trip to Howell for my brothers wedding. If time and motivation (it’s usually the motivation I have a problem with) allows I think I will also try to tackle the floors and all the dog hair on them. I highly doubt the floors will get done, as I am REALLY wanting to get through Harry Potter before the weekend comes. What are you tackling this Tuesday?
